Scope:

Innovative materials are pivotal to achieve SDGs, which are common and current issues for Human Beings. Creation of game-changing materials with extraordinary functions and the development of manufacturing processes contributing to reduction of CO2 emission are examples of representative research challenges today. Effective design concept and concrete approach are now strongly demanded for materials research. Recent advancement of informatics, computer and computational method, and characterization techniques are making a fertile soil for birth of revolution methodology in materials research. The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum to exchange the recent progress in materials research obtained by the novel approaches and discuss future directions. We welcome papers merging experimental approach with theory, computation, and data science, in addition to novel approach to contribute to acceleration of materials research.

Topics:

1) AI-driven research
2) Compoutational approach
3) Novel characterization technique
4) Novel concept
5) Discovery-inspired approach
